User Contributions
Overview:
Our Services do not support user-submitted content. However, you might have opportunities to share content with us, like text, photos, and videos.
- Remember, anything you share must:
- Respect copyrights and all other property rights.
- Be your original work or you must have permission to use it.
- Not include anything offensive or illegal.
Rules for Sharing:
- Make sure you have the right to share your content and it doesn’t break any laws.
- Your content should be truthful and not misleading.
- Avoid using your content for spam, ads, or scams.
- Keep it respectful and don’t use it to harm or threaten anyone.
- Respect everyone’s privacy and rights.
Important: If your content breaks these rules, you could lose your right to use our Services.
Sharing Your Ideas & Feedback
When you share your ideas or feedback with us, you’re okay with us using and sharing them. We won’t pay you for them, but we really value your input.
Your Content is Yours
Anything you share remains yours. You keep all rights to your stuff. But remember, we’re not responsible for what you say or share. And if there’s a problem with something you’ve shared, it’s up to you, not us.
How We Handle Our Services
We can check the services to make sure everyone follows the rules, but we don’t have to. If someone isn’t following the rules, we might take action, like telling the police.
We can also decide to stop showing any content that’s too big or causing problems, without having to explain or be responsible for it.
Our main goal is to keep the services working well and protect our rights.
Service Terms and Ending Use
As long as you use our services, these rules apply. We can stop anyone from using the services at any time, without having to explain or be responsible for it, especially if they break the rules or laws. If we end your access or you can’t use your account, you can’t sign up again with any name – yours, someone else’s, or made-up. If there’s a serious issue, we might take legal steps.
Changes and Downtime
We might change or stop our services anytime without telling you first. We’re not responsible if you or anyone else has issues because of these changes or if the services are unavailable. Sometimes, we need to fix or update things, which might cause the services to be down temporarily. We’re not liable for any trouble this causes you. We don’t have to keep the services up-to-date or free from interruptions
Governing Law
These Legal Terms and your use of the Services are govered by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois applicable to agreements made and to be entirely performed within the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Solving Disagreements
Quick Talks First: If there’s a problem, we both agree to try talking it out for 30 days first.
Arbitration Instead of Court: If talking doesn’t work, we solve the issue through arbitration (a private decision-making process) instead of going to court. This means you give up the right to sue in court and have a jury trial. Arbitration is under rules that make it fair and will happen in Illinois, USA.
No Group Fights: Any disagreement gets solved one-on-one, not in a class action or on behalf of others.
Some Exceptions: Issues about intellectual property, theft, privacy, or where you might need an immediate legal order to stop something harmful, don’t have to go through arbitration and can go straight to court in Illinois.
If a court says we can’t solve a disagreement this way, then we’ll go to court in Illinois.
Corrections
There may be information on the Services that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions, including descriptions, pricing, availability, and various other information. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions and to change or update the information on the Services at any time, without prior notice.
Disclaimer
Service As-Is: Our services are given to you “as is.” When you use them, you’re doing so at your own risk. We don’t promise that everything in our services is perfect or completely accurate.
No Warranties: We’re not making any promises, known as warranties, about the services suiting your specific needs, being always available, or not having errors.
Not Liable: We’re not responsible for any errors or problems you might find, any harm to you or your stuff, any security issues, interruptions, or any bad software that might affect your use of our services.
Third-Party Stuff: If you use or buy something from a third party we mention or link to, that’s between you and them. We’re not involved.
Be Careful: Just like anywhere else, it’s up to you to be cautious and make good choices.
Limit on Our Responsibility
Simple Terms: We’re not responsible for any kind of loss or damage you or anyone else might face from using our services. This includes things like lost money, lost data, or any other harm.
Limit to Claims: If there’s a problem, the most we would have to pay you is the amount you’ve paid us, if anything at all.
Legal Exceptions: Some places have laws that might give you more rights or not allow us to limit our responsibility this way. If that’s true for you, then some of these limits might not apply.
Covering Our Backs
Your Promise: If using our services causes issues or someone sues us because of something you did, you agree to cover the costs and protect us from harm. This includes any legal fees because you didn’t follow the rules, broke your promises, violated someone else’s rights, or were mean to another user.
Our Right to Take Over: If we’re getting sued because of you, we can handle our defense, but you’ll have to pay for it. We’ll let you know if that happens.
Your Responsibility
Your Agreement: If there’s trouble (like a lawsuit) because of how you use the services or if you break the rules, you’ll have to cover any costs or damages. This means paying for legal stuff if you do something wrong, like violating someone’s rights or being harmful to others.
Our Defense: We might decide to handle our defense if there’s a legal issue because of you. You’ll need to help pay for this. We’ll tell you if it comes to that.
Handling Your Data and Electronic Communications
Your Data: If you send data to us, like during sign-ups or while using our services, we’ll try to keep it safe, but it’s mainly your job to look after your data. We’re not responsible if some of it gets lost or damaged.
Talking Electronically: When you use our services, send us emails, or fill out online forms, that’s electronic communication. You’re okay with getting messages from us electronically, like emails, which counts the same as if they were on paper. You’re also fine with using electronic signatures for agreements or orders with us. This means you don’t need paper copies or non-electronic signatures for these things to be official.
For California Users and Residents
If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled a complaint, California residents can reach out to the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs. You can write to them at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or call them at (800) 952-5210 or (916) 445-1254.
Miscellaneous Terms
Whole Agreement: Everything we’ve agreed on (these terms and any service rules we post) is the full deal between us. If we don’t enforce a part of these terms right away, it doesn’t mean we’ve given up on it.
Legal Stuff: These terms stick to the law as much as possible. We can pass our duties under these terms to someone else if we need to. We’re not on the hook for things out of our control that mess with our service.
Severability: If part of these terms is not allowed, only that part is removed; the rest stays in place.
Relationship: Just by using the service, we don’t create any business partnerships or employment between us.
Fair Interpretation: These terms were written by us, but that won’t be used against us. Also, not needing a physical signature or not having one won’t make these terms any less valid.
